Another positive week for IWA. We are now up to 12 clubs. 6 in India, 5 in China and 1 in Germany. The Shanghai team have just had a very successful meeting to plan out all the actions needed before their Guizhou summer school. Fundraising, less
Our Co-founder had the pleasure to present at the Barcamp 2013 Shanghai.[http://m.techyizu.org/about-barcamp/].
He introduced the concept behind IWA Clubs and how this is a powerful model to allow access to education for underprivileged communities. IWA would like to thank Techyizu for organizing such a fantastic and open event, which fits perfectly within the ideals of IWA.
Today we reached 10 clubs globally. 4 in India, 5 in China and 1 in Germany! Now the work really starts with making sure that each of our clubs is really empowering.
What a great day to end a fantastic week for IWA. So far this week we have had 5 new clubs join and now 2 in India! We now need to work hard to keep this momentum going!
Have a look at our club exchange where all the clubs are listed...
Some have already gained points!
Then we have the videos which the Shanghai team members have put together for IWD.
The third meeting of the Shanghai Team saw a number of new members and as always
many great ideas. The focus of the summer project has been shifted to rural Guizhou where the students believe they can make a real difference to the education of the girls there. A plan of action was mapped out starting with; forming clubs, fundraising raising, building English teaching resources and planning events. It's going to be a fun few months watching and helping this project take shape. As the clubs form you can watch all their activities on their blogs
