Our second club has joined IWA! Welcome to Hi-fly IWA Club. As we now have clubs
in India and China we can truly call ourselves international!
IWA had the pleasure to visit MISY, Myanmar International School Yangon, and speak with their high school students. We discussed how girls could be empowered in their country and what difficulties they would face. Some great ideas were generated. IWA would like to thank all at MISY for this opportunity and
especially Clive Jolly and Alan Dighton, the Principal of MISY.
IWA would like to thank the Indira Gandhi Institutue of Technology and especially their Principal, Dr. Nupur Prakash, for allowing our Co-Founder the opportunity to introduce IWA to the students and teachers. After the presentation the students discussed and advised how IWA could best empower Indian girls and communities.
A number of exciting ideas resulted and we hope this is the start of a long relationship.
IWA would like to welcome Bal Bharati Public School in Bhiwadi, India. They have become our first IWA Club! Our Co-Founder Peter Le Masurier had the pleasure to visit this school and found that the school ideals and focus are a perfect fit
to the IWA targets. He had the pleasure to meet Harit Sharma, the Chief Mentor,
Komal Satti, Mentor, and Kalpana Kadiyan, the Principal. This is a perfect end to our first month and the beginning of great things to come. Congratulations Bal Bharati Public School!
IWA would like to thank all at Planet EDU (www.planeteduworld.com/), especially Mr Sanjay Malaviya and Professor M.M. Pant, for inviting our Co-Founder, Peter Le Masurier, to present at their prestigious EDUConVex conference in New Delhi, India. The conference was a perfect combination of excellent presentations and interesting discussions. A significant interest was shown in the IWA activities and we believe this is just the start of IWA in India.
