We started with four and now we are seven! Two girls (Ann and Rachel) were looking in through the window while we were teaching. They seemed interested to join in and so spent the day learning ABC and some mathematics. In the process one of our team, Stephanie, realised she enjoys teaching.

Stephanie jumped at the chance to teach our two youngest students maths.

Rachel took an instant interest in studying English and although the youngest was the first to shout out an English word, "TWO"!

Annie took Ann and Rachel to practice their ABC.

We were invited to our student May's house for lunch. Her family were kind enough to cook us some local spicy food and made us all feel very welcome.

In the afternoon the students brainstormed ideas about what in their village they would like to tell the world about. Their plan is to photograph the interesting and unusual things in their village and describe these in English and Chinese on our website.
The students also practiced asking each other questions in English
